SELF-DEVELOPMENT IS PIVOTAL TOWARDS GETTING HIGH PAY TEACHING POSITIONS

Are you giving up your teaching job already? Or have you been hunting for a better offer but...? Read this:

I belong to an online WhatsApp group of experienced and well-paid teachers. I ran across this short piece of motivational post from one of the teachers in the group. He's my mentor, Mr Ibraheem Adebesin.

Getting employed in a well-paying school can be difficult especially if you don't have the prerequisite qualifications and adequate experience according to the recruiters' specifications.

If you have been searching for a well-paying teaching job for a long time but you haven't got any, DO NOT LOSE HOPE.

For some of us currently fortunate to be working in what we may call very well-paying schools, we have got stories to tell, if you ask - stories of so much hard work, of unrelentingly bagging certified from short courses.

Updating and consistently submitting CVs ( solicited and unsolicited CVs) and waiting on God to open the big doors. We went through so much trouble - physical, emotional, psychological and even spiritual - to get the breakthrough.

So, I advise you, dear brothers and sisters,

who are hoping, fasting and waiting for a breakthrough, please, DO NOT GIVE UP.

Your victory is nearby. Remember "Winners never quit and Quitters never win"

Indeed, there are stories to tell. Stories which include what we went through and tough steps that are taken to get employed.

Stories which include why some of those who couldn't cope with the rigorous recruitment process, had to back out even from the beginning.

Some of us managed a few years but couldn't cope and fled. Reasons for fleeing are best known to individuals.

However, I must say that, as much as most, if not all, of us are strongly willing to earn six-digit salaries, even on the high side, we must also know that prayers and determination alone cannot get us there.

Getting the prerequisites in terms of certifications and personal development and preparedness will go a very long way in fast-tracking the answering of the prayers.

Most of these high-paying schools are not ready to start training you on how to use the computer Office Packages. They are not looking for someone who does not know how to prepare e-notes and lesson plans using at least Ms-Word and PowerPoint.

These and more are the prerequisites mentioned in the primary post ahead.

Self-development is pivotal towards getting high pay in this industry.

Remember, success is prayers that meet preparedness!
