Last week my supplementary worksheet on #ClimateActionElt was based on UNDERSTANDING THE OZONE LAYER AND ITS DEPLETION.
The questions attached to the worksheet are meant to test learners' understanding of the ozone layer.
This week's worksheet is on FLOOD, ITS CAUSES AND PREVENTION.
Katherine Bilsborough, in her webinar at the British Council Teaching English Facebook page, mentioned that by localising climate action in our classrooms, our learners tend to relate to the content better.
In Nigeria, most especially in coastal parts of the country such as Lagos, Port Harcourt and Bayelsa, we experienced flooding this year compared to previous years.
Other than #climatechange there are human causes of this disaster.
The worksheet above will expose students to the causes and prevention of floods.
It's a discussion exercise which will ignite the perceptions of students interestingly.
